Cutout Oval Slide - Classic

I have this France Luxe Cutout Oval Slide in 6 different colours now. My hair is fine but it seems to keep the hair in place. It really is an elegant look but suitable for everyday wear.
I am still trying to try different styles with these pieces. Fast shipping, great service and I loved the extra gift they sent me. It made me feel special!

When I was a teenager I had one similar except it was a rectangular piece of leather with 2 holes in it. Worked great, but this is not flexible enough to get the stick in the holes for my hair.

I tried to use this piece to hold a pony but it just kept sliding down my hair. I tried weaving it through my hair but found that the stick was too short and not flexible enough to weave so that didn't work either. It does have small teeth on the inside but they served no purpose for me. I tried using it on my chignon but my husband commented that it looked like I was wearing a kitchen utensil in my hair. It's also difficult to thread the stick through both holes once it's in the hair without some hair coming loose. I tried but this piece just didn't work for me. I felt like I was trying to find a hair style as a solution for a hair accessory rather than using a hair accessory as a solution for a hair style. On a positive note it is a very smooth, highly polished piece and the stick doesn't fall out I as I feared it might once you've managed to thread it through both sides. However, for me, I'll stick to my France Luxe barettes that are easy to use and hold my hair securely all day long.
