For T H I C K hair, too.

I first bought this type of barrette in Paris. They are touted here for fine hair, but if you have trouble finding barrettes that will fit, and hold, your super thick hair, these are great! Without being big and long, you can wear these petit clips bc they are held in via the spring tension of the curved metal itself. You can stuff them, they may bend, but they bend back into original shape. Versatile and dependable if you need a strong hold. The metal retains its shine. Robust. Great value for cost. Recommend. [note: the photo I’m posting is an example of lousy barrettes for thick hair. What requires 3 lousy barrettes only takes 1 of the ones for sale here. 👍]
